Virtual Console

Original Mario plus four other titles to hit Virtual Console on Dec. 25

Nintendo has its own holiday surprises planned for December 25. Only you have to pay for it, and its not really a surprise since they announced it four days early. But whatever. Nintendo is releasing the original Super Mario Bros. on the Virtual Console for 500 points. Street Fighter II: The World Warrior from the NES, Super Castlevania IV from the SNES, Toe Jam & Earl from Genesis, and R-TYPE from the TurboGrafx16 will also go live on Christmas day, each for 800 points.

Nintendo will also add Baseball and Urban Champion from the NES on January 1 for 500 points.

Japan's Virtual Console lineup confirmed

Nintendo has announced the final list of titles that will make it to the Japanese Virtual Console by the end of the year. December 2 seems to be the day with the most releases. Hopefully, many of these titles will end up over here soon, because our pickings are currently rather slim. It costs $19.99 for 2000 points, so 100 = $1. The full list is after the jump.
