I'm bored, let's do something

Don't tell anyone but, currently, when you visit the site there isn't that much to do. You can read the blog entries and the news on the front page (and from what I've gathered many don't do that), and you can comment on stuff.

We all know eachother in real life (or should I say RL? no.) so it's usually easier to talk about things in person rather than on the interweb. So if you have any friends who live elsewhere and would like to meet some new people, tell them to join and introduce themselves.

And, since new blog posts are scare due to the lack of active members, what can we add/improve to make the site more unique and interactive for us? I'm asking for everyone's input because when I'm bored I want to go on gmrblogs and find something new to read or do everytime.

I really don't know. Most of my thoughts are dependent on having an active base. Maybe a game guide, daily poll/voting/quick review on a specific game, like choose a game that was released recently and have a few polls on it, and ask for user input on up or down on whether you like it, played it, i don't know. For weekly content, keeping up the podcasts would be interesting, maybe have John's idea of a game comic, or something like what computer gaming monthly does with a recap every issue of a rts match between two of the editors/writers of an rts like aoe or warcraft III.

@Chadwick,
I love how you started that off with "I really don't know" and then followed up with the most detailed series of feature requests a guy like me could ever want. Thanks for the great suggestions. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these started popping up eventually.

Keep it up everyone. What else?

Enjoy the Parade...
