Gears of War

I love GoW but I have aiming issues lol, I rock with the sniper but shotgun and lancer not so much..any suggestions or tips to help improve my aiming? So far I just keep going through the campaign mode and try different things against the locusts. It helps a little but does nothing to prepare me for online play...
