Gears of War patch
A patch came out for Gears of War tonight. It fixed many glitches, some of which (weapons pick up slide, and infinite smoke grenades) I actually miss. But they also appeared to have fix the lag in the game. Before, unless you were the host, you would pull the trigger and there would be time gap between when your shots were actually fired. The patched seems to get rid of this which eliminates host advantage. and that is a big plus.
The other thing that came with the patch was a new game type. Its call annex. Its basically a king of the hill game type. There is a territory that you have to hold and for every second you hold it, you get a point. First team to reach the point limit wins. The territory is where the weapons spawn and it rotates after it has been held for 60 seconds. Oh almost forgot, you get infinite respawns and it rotates with spawn you respawn at. It creates some interesting battles. For example in Tyro Station, one spot you have to hold is on the train tracks. So every 30 seconds or so you have to run off the tracks. then after the train passes both teams rush back onto the tracks for an awesome shotgun battle. One helpful tactic is if you down an enemy, you let him bleed out. This way it takes just a little longer for them to respawn again.
I only got to play a couple matches of the new game type but first impressions were good. Its a good change of pace at least from just straight up killing people.

I hate Annex, the only reason i would play is for the new achievments
