PS3 has a conscious
So a lot of people have probably heard of "The Grid" that used a massive network of computing power from regular old shmoes like us. Well I guess there's another program like it called Folding@Home that's currently working with protein folding and is seeking to find cures for diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Cancer (among others).
The crazy thing is that PS3 owners can utilize this program on their console. So while you're fighting whatever the hell monsters you're fighting in Gears of War (seriously...did I miss the part where they explain why you're fighting those things or what they are?) you can also fight Cancer...hooray for multitasking!

yea I got that part...I know what the emergence hole is...but why are they inside the planet and why are we fighting them? ay ay?
They're inside the planet because that's their home, and we're fighting them because they're fighting us. haha
i use the enigma client that uses distributed computing to crack messages encrypted with the German enigma code

Haha the locust live inside the planet. They come out of the ground through the emergence holes. That's cool about folding@home. I used to run grid on every computer in the house. It's cool that PS3 will do it.
