Here's an advertisement for Gears of War that's been running on TV. It has no audio other than Gary Jules' cover of the song Mad World. The affect of the song combined with the absence of other sound makes the ad rather stirring. Gears of War will be in stores on November 7.

It's an interesting advertisement, not your typical action video game ad. The game looks pretty good, but I do always get a littke skeptical when people tell me a certain title is going to be "the best thing for Xbox" this year"...

I haven't played it, although I want to. Gears of War finally beat Halo 2 on Xbox Live play stats, so GoW has got to be good.

GoW is amazing! I am seriously considering getting a 360 for xmas now. even tho the wii looks pretty awesome.
I've always been curious about the said author of the song. I've read Gary Jules before as being the artist, but on places such as itunes it's labeled as Michael Andrews. Am I to assume the former is correct? Very good video by the way, I'd say its only drawback is the rather macho appearance of the guy versus a rather romanticized song.
