Thieves Den now available for Oblivion [UPDATED]

Another package of additional Oblivion content, called the Thieves Den, has been released on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 150 MP and on the PC for $1.89. The Thieves Den will take players to Dunbarrow Cove where an ancient pirate ship is moored. The package was designed with the stealth player in mind and adds 45 new items and 15 new spells.

I still haven't warmed up to the whole idea of buying additional content, but at least the prices have improved since the notorious horse armor ordeal. This is also playable content, so it is more likely to be worth the cash. I'll give it a try tomorrow and update this post with my thoughts.

Update: A quick review

I played with it for a few hours this morning. If your character is based around stealth and you have a lot of gold to spend, I think it's worth it. If you're a die hard fighter, steer clear. It unlocks a cavern that becomes a home base for you. It's free storage and sleeping, but everything else is pretty expensive.

You can hire skilled trainers to come and hang out in your base, but it's 1000 septims just to get them there. You'll pay more for training, but they'll teach you some high level skills. For example, the spymaster that I hired is an expert with security. You'd be hard pressed to find someone like him elsewhere.
