Sony just can't learn from its advertising mistakes

Reports of more inappropriate (and confusing) ads from Sony come from across the pond. Some users of the public transportation in the UK stand face to face with billboards like the one pictured. It's not clear exactly what the ad is suggesting, but I'll leave you to come up with some possibilities.

This isn't the first time that Sony has taken some criticism about their risque marketing techniques. Back in October, I blogged about how "a PS3 ad depicted a guy wearing a crown of thorns." Sony also went on a graffiti spree throughout New York during January, which got them in trouble with the City Council.

well first of all its to do with the psp photo capability, but i'll give you a hint what is white on a tanned girl's body, assuming she doesn't go and get a fake tan...what do clothes cover....its clever but too British in nature, you could pull something more risque in the states i bet

I would say the exact opposite. The US is usually more conservative when it comes to ads.

Enjoy the Parade...

yeah lame advertisement. if i have to have someone explain it to me, then game over you have failed at advertising. also i totally agree, in england they have advertisements with women being sodomized by clowns to advertise for mcdonalds. we can be pretty conservative.
