LucasArts to release LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy

LucasArts announced their plan to release of LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy for the 2006 American International Toy Fair in New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (the working title) was created by TT Games, developed by Traveller's Tales and is set to be released for the public in the fall of this year for all current seven gaming platforms (Nintendo DS, Windows, PlayStation 2, PSP, GameBoy Advance, GameCube, and Xbox).

The original LEGO Star Wars games was the thirteenth best-selling video game in 2005 according to the NPD Group. The sequel to the game with a comical twist on the Star Wars universe features levels with vehicles and creatures that players have complete access to ride and exit at will. In LEGO Star Wars II's Free Play Mode, you can also mix and match body parts to customize more than 50 characters.

The American Internation Toy Fair attracts more than 1,500 manufacturers, distributors, importers and sales agents from 30 countries and is the largest toy trade show in the Western Hemisphere.
